This policy serves as a publicly accessible, live HTTPS reference outlining our data collection, security architecture, and data handling practices for commercial food buyers (supermarkets, caterers, food professionals) and verified agricultural producers and suppliers across all 58 wilayas in Algeria.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on your role as a food buyer or supplier, we collect the following categories of data:

• Account & Verification Details: Full name, trade name, company legal status, Commercial Registry (Registre de Commerce / RC) documentation, Tax ID (NIF), wilaya location, and operational warehouse address.
• Authentication Data: WhatsApp telephone number and one-time temporary OTP verification codes.
• Wholesale Orders & Inquiries: Product selections, wholesale unit quantities, minimum order quantities (MOQ), agreed delivery timelines, delivery confirmations, and 3-pillar objective ratings (Quality, Timing, Customer Support).
• Logistics Routing: Wilaya and delivery addresses provided for Click & Collect coordination and regional carrier routing.
• Device & Notification Telemetry: Device identifiers (Android ID, Apple IDFV), operating system version, push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging / APNs) to deliver real-time order status alerts.

3. WhatsApp OTP Authentication & Regional Agents

AkidFood Market relies on passwordless authentication:

• No Passwords Stored: You never have to create or store a password on our servers. Authentication is securely confirmed via WhatsApp OTP sent directly to your registered mobile phone.
• Regional Agent Verification: To protect buyers and suppliers from counterfeit businesses, professional accounts are reviewed and validated within 24 hours by a dedicated regional agent who checks official Algerian commercial registry credentials.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your information is processed exclusively for legitimate operational purposes:

• Order Facilitation: Generating digital purchase slips, notifying suppliers of incoming inquiries, and transmitting delivery coordinates.
• Account Validation: Regional agents verify company legitimacy and business registration before granting full catalog listing permissions.
• Status Updates: Transmitting push notifications and status badges (Received → Accepted → In Preparation → Ready / Dispatched → Completed).
• Fraud Prevention & Marketplace Safety: Protecting legitimate buyers and producers against unauthorized access and unfulfilled orders.

5. Data Storage, Encryption & Security Practices

We employ strict security measures to protect user records:

• HTTPS & TLS 1.3: All communications between mobile clients and our backend servers are strictly encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS 1.3 / HTTPS.
• Storage Encryption: Databases and business verification documents are secured at rest using AES-256 encryption.
• Direct Settlement: AkidFood does not collect or store buyer banking card numbers or CVVs at launch; payments are settled directly between buyers and suppliers upon delivery or collection.
• Access Restrictions: Customer data is isolated using role-based access control (RBAC), accessible only to authorized regional agents and verification specialists.

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties

Information is shared only under specific, operational circumstances:

• Transaction Counterparties: Suppliers receive delivery addresses, company names, and contact phone numbers solely to fulfill ordered consignments.
• Authorized Carriers: Delivery drivers and freight partners receive necessary delivery destination details to transport products across wilayas.
• Legal Authorities: Only when strictly compelled by valid legal subpoenas or official judicial rulings in accordance with Algerian law.

7. Data Retention & Permanent Deletion

Account records remain active for as long as your business utilizes AkidFood Market.

You have the right to request permanent account deletion at any time directly through the app settings or via privacy@akidfood.com. Once requested, your personal phone number, profile, and active credentials will be purged within 30 days, retaining only anonymized fiscal records required by Algerian commercial bookkeeping statutes.

8. Your Rights & Control

Under Algerian Law 18-07 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, you have the right to:

• Access & Review: Inspect the personal and company records stored in your account.
• Rectification: Correct or update any company details, addresses, or phone numbers with regional agent confirmation.
• Revocation: Revoke notification permissions or delete your account permanently.
